LAUNCH – ROOV | Ski

ROOV | Ski

This season has been one of the worst on record for ski resorts in the American West. Maybe it’s time to look elsewhere.

NOT A SKI BUNNY.

I’ve started building something new — at the intersection of who I am and what I do. Born and bred in the mountains. And in life and work, a bespoke travel planner designing deeply considered experiences around the world. This season, I went back to the source.

Early winter in the French Alps — moving between valleys, looking closely at what actually matters: accommodations, guides, heli operations, chalets, the nuance behind what’s being sold.

Then Japan. A month there, at peak season. Much of it in the backcountry — long, quiet days that reset your sense of scale. Relearning how to move, transition, and ski in endless powder. The rest spent meeting operators and suppliers, understanding the rhythm on the ground, and, at times, at rest — onsens, snowfall, letting the place speak for itself.

Japan Backcountry Ski

This is the beginning of Roov | Ski.

Designed by people who actually ski. Not built behind a desk in New York or London. Not resort tourism. Not influencer fluff.

This is:

  • lived-in mountain intelligence

  • cultural fluency — art, food, architecture, landscape

  • access that comes from returning, year after year

  • respect for weather, snowpack, light, and timing

The first expression of this is Japan. From here, this will expand — French Alps, Austrian Arlberg, Swiss Alps, the Dolomites, and beyond.

Now open for ski planning.
