A Postcard from Ibiza - The White Island
A Postcard from IBIZA - THE WHITE ISLAND
ROOV Postcard 3
A postcard reveals a dynamic place we recently visited.
Ibiza
The ‘It’ girl of the Mediterranean, Ibiza carries both the salt-stained edges of its rugged past and the soulful pull of its countercultural spirit. It is at once luminous and untamed, a place that reveals itself differently each time you return. Here’s our thread into one of Ibiza’s many worlds.
This year's annual trip to Ibiza wasn't rooted in work, but in friendship.
LJ and I met years ago at the Soho House in Barcelona, back when we were both living there. I was on a date with a friend of hers, and she joined us at the rooftop restaurant—effortlessly cool and funny. We became fast friends that afternoon, the kind of connection that feels instantly familiar. She's since moved to Ibiza, and after two years of near misses, our calendars finally aligned.
This trip was her chance to show me her version of the island, and to do a bit of a recce for Roov to glean intel on the locales places like we know so well in Mallorca and Menorca.
